Destin Hotels That Will Help You Stay In Destin For Cheap

5 Destin Hotels That Will Help You Stay In Destin For Cheap

Destin is expensive. The term “budget” does not exist during the summer months (June-August). If you and your family are coming to Destin on a budget, your accommodations will be one of the bigger expenses. Prices begin around $300 – $400 a night in these peak times as long as you don’t mind staying inland and use public beach accesses. Also, if you plan your vacation in the off-season (after Labor Day), prices drop by half and more.

We have searched out and found 5 “budget-friendly” hotels/motels in Destin. We believe they are worthy of your consideration. Each of them has a “Good” or higher rating across travel booking platforms including Google, Hotels.com, and Travelocity.

These motels/hotels are listed in the order we priced them out – Mid July and Mid September. (Cheapest to More Expensive)

2931 Scenic Hwy 98, Destin

Note 1: 4 of the 5 properties we have highlighted require customers to cross Hwy 98 (Harbor Blvd.) to get to the beaches, Harbor Walk, and some restaurants mentioned. We would like to stress that if you are walking and crossing Hwy 98 (Harbor Blvd), PLEASE only cross at marked crosswalks. This is a very dangerous highway and it is very important that you cross only when you have a signal. Even then, please make sure all traffic is stopping before you proceed. Be vigilant and safe.

Note 2: None of the Destin beaches allow pets. If you are caught with a pet on the beach, you will be fined upward of $500 by the City of Destin.

Where ever you choose, planning well in advance is key… especially if you are planning to visit during peak times.

We hope this information has helped you in your quest for cheaper accommodations. As we stated, Summer is expensive. Save your vacation days for after Labor Day. Crowds are smaller. Rates are cheaper. Restaurants are less crowded. Not to mention, the water is still warm as is the weather.  September in Destin is the perfect time of the year.
